The bare minimum you should do is include a list of names in the programs and ensure your MC or DJ knows how to pronounce everyone’s name. The MC or DJ should announce the bridal party in the correct order and tell their role in the wedding. At many weddings, the MC or DJ will also explain how each person knows the bride or groom. Consider including a fun fact about each person at this point as well, but keep it brief and light-hearted. For example, after introducing the best man, you might add “he introduced the bride and groom in college!”
Either in lieu of this or to supplement the program, consider setting up a “meet the bridal party” display at the reception with more information about the bridal party members. Start with a picture and short bio, but include something extra about everyone — such as a funny quote from some point during the wedding planning process.
Use props: find toys or other props that fit your theme and have your bridal party use them during their introductions. This bridal party entered to the song Thrift Shop sporting their best thrift store finds.
Other Tips for Fun Introductions
Communicate well with your DJ or MC. If you have hired a professional, he or she will have lots of ideas for how to spice up your introductions and can facilitate the whole procession.
The most important thing is making sure you include a big thank you to all those who helped to make your day special, no matter how you decide to do so.
